The name of this AI-driven feature is “help me schedule.” It utilizes Gemini AI to review availability, participation, and understand the context of emails and recommends available timings, all without leaving the inbox!
This new feature shows integration of continued efforts with Google’s strategy of infusing AI in its workspace ecosystem for efficiency and innovation, as seen in Google Slides, NotebookLM, and Google Vids.
What Makes Google Gemini Unique?
Google’s AI advantage keeps it ahead in the game with its impeccable synchronization between Calendar and Gmail, leaving its competitors: Calendly, Doodle, and HubSpot, behind. A Google spokesperson explained how this feature simplifies the scheduling process by interpreting the context of email conversations. According to her, if someone mentions a 30-minute slot, Gemini identifies and suggests suitable time options that align with both parties’ availabilities.
Google also revealed that reminders created in Google Keep will now automatically sync with Google Tasks, which will result in a more productive and consistent experience throughout working applications.
